Nicholas Moody, VP / Commercial Lender with Union State Bank, recently completed the Oklahoma Bankers Association 2023 Intermediate School. The multi-week program is designed to expose attendees to a broad range of banking functions as they prepare for future leadership roles within the banking industry.
In a recent interview, USB President and Chief Executive Officer Eric Kurtz discussed Moody’s involvement with the organization.
“Nicholas has been a positive force for our Bartlesville, Oklahoma branch. He is managing an exceptional portfolio which is diversified in its content. Nicholas is particularly adept at building new loan and deposit relationships for the bank. I look forward to his continued professional development,” stated Kurtz.
Moody was among 49 students who traveled to Oklahoma City to attend this year’s school. Topics studied included economics, marketing, lending, investments, trust services, compliance and legal issues, bank financial analysis, ethics, human resource management, communications, strategic planning, regulatory examinations and asset/liability management. In addition, each class participant applied their knowledge as the lead executive in a competitive bank simulation.
“The school provided me with the opportunity to expand on my knowledge of the banking industry, which in return will help me better serve USB clients,” said Moody. “I continue to be proud of the clients and community I serve and look forward to utilizing what I learned to provide an even better banking experience for our clients.”
Moody is a member of the Oklahoma Bankers Association Agricultural Committee, Nowata County Farm Bureaus, American Farmers and Ranchers, and participates in numerous other professional associations. He is also actively involved in a variety of community events throughout the Bartlesville community each year.
