Union State Bank Launches New Chat Feature to Enhance Customer Experience

Union State Bank (USB) announces the launch of an electronic chat feature within several of their online platforms. As part of USB’s ongoing commitment to customer service, the online chat function offers an additional secure method for customers to communicate with the bank.

“Union State Bank is always looking for ways to enhance the customer experience, and Chat provides another convenient option for customers to connect with us quickly and easily,” said Jodie Wall, Senior Vice President at Union State Bank. The new service allows customers to reach out through the USB website, online banking platform, or mobile app, ensuring accessibility through their preferred channels.

During regular business hours, customers are able to engage in real-time conversations with USB staff, similar to communicating through text or instant messaging. According to USB’s Manager of Customer Service Center Karen Van Horn, “Our Virtual Bankers can chat securely with customers via messages, video, or audio through LinkLive. We can assist our customers through desktop sharing and secure file sharing.”

Customers can easily navigate to the chat function through their computer or smart device. “On the website you can click on the chat bubble in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. In online and mobile banking, just hit the chat option in the mobile thumb bar,” added Ryan Valencia, USB’s Director of Retail Services.

The chat service provides around-the-clock access to frequently asked questions, allowing customers to find answers at any time. If more assistance is required, customers can initiate a live chat with a Virtual Banker during business hours or leave a message for follow-up. “Chat gives another way for customers to reach out to us and to find answers to questions 24/7,” Van Horn noted. “It’s an opportunity to meet the needs of our customers by giving them another mode of communication that they can choose from to connect with us.”

This new feature is more than just a technological upgrade, it's a reflection of Union State Bank’s dedication to meeting customers where they are. USB’s chat function is designed to provide secure, timely, and effective support for a richer and more personalized customer interaction.
