Groene Named Wichita Area Young Professional

Union State Bank Vice President and Director of Treasury Services Amber Groene has been recognized as a Young Professional in Financial Services by the Wichita Business Journal. Groene is one of twenty-three up-and-coming leaders recognized in the May 31st print edition of the journal.

“These professionals are the next generation of city and community leaders,” according to the Wichita Business Journal article.

Groene began her career in the banking industry as a part-time teller through her high school’s on-the-job training program.

“Balancing my morning classes with my work schedule, I would transition from the classroom to the bank, ready to apply my learning in a real-world setting. This experience not only provided me with valuable insight into the intricacies of the banking sector but also instilled in me a strong work ethic and a passion for the industry,” said Groene. “It was during this time that I discovered my affinity for finance and customer service, laying the foundation for my future career path in banking.”

Groene’s roles and responsibilities continued growing, and in 2009 she joined Union State Bank. Today, Groene oversees the Treasury Management department of Union State Bank. She serves as a bridge between the financial institution and clientele, providing tailored financial solutions to both business and consumer customers.

“Whether it's optimizing cash flow, managing risk, or maximizing returns, I consult with clients to identify the most suitable products and services. With a focus on building lasting relationships, grounded in trust and integrity, I’m committed to delivering exceptional value and support to each client I serve,” said Groene.

The opportunity to impact people’s lives and build long-term relationships provides Groene with her professional motivation.

“There's immense joy in knowing that I've played a role in helping customers fulfill their financial needs and achieve their goals. Building lasting relationships with customers is particularly fulfilling; it allows me to provide personalized support and guidance, ultimately fostering trust and loyalty,” Groene said. “Banking is a fulfilling way to contribute positively to individuals' financial well-being while nurturing meaningful connections within the communities we serve.”
