New Faces New Roles For USB Staff

Union State Bank recently announced several new roles for team members within the organization. Zack Stoy and Amanda Conrad have earned promotions, while Dax Givens joins USB as their newest lender.

Stoy was named Arkansas City Market President for Union State Bank on July 11th. He joined the bank earlier this year as a Loan Officer serving south central Kansas and North Central Oklahoma. Stoy brings over sixteen years of experience in the finance industry to his new role.

“I started my financial career working as bank teller, then a commercial appraiser. Overtime my skillset diversified into mortgage, Agricultural and Commercial lending,” Stoy said. “With my new role ss Market President, I am excited to deepen relationships with existing clients and am looking forward to creating new customer relationships.”

Stoy is an Arkansas City native. He is an active member of several local civic organizations and non-profits, and volunteers regularly for community events.

“Zack has been a lifelong resident of Arkansas City, and his knowledge of the community will be invaluable as we progress in growing our organization,” said Eric Kurtz, Union State Bank’s President and CEO.

As Market President within his hometown, Stoy plans to maintain the bank’s community focus.

“I strive to establish a strong, positive reputation as someone who genuinely supports local businesses and nonprofits,” said Stoy. “I plan to work closely with local leaders, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations to identify opportunities where Union State Bank can make a meaningful impact.”

Stoy’s office is located at USB’s Ark City Main branch, located at 127 S. Summit Street in downtown Arkansas City.

Current staff member, Amanda Conrad, has also been promoted to a leadership role within the organization. Conrad was named Union State Bank’s Director of Retail Operations on July 21st.

“Amanda brings a wealth of banking and customer service experience to this new role,” announced Mike McWhirt, Union State Bank’s Chief Operations Officer. “She has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities and has been a key contributor to the success of the Winfield Market, and the bank overall.”

Conrad has eight years of experience in retail banking, and most recently held the position of USB’s Winfield Retail Market Coordinator.

“I’ve enjoyed building relationships with our customers and providing them with personalized support and service,” said Conrad. “In this new role, my goals include enhancing our customer service representatives’ ability to deliver exceptional, consultative service and continuing to bring better banking to the communities we serve.”

Conrad will oversee retail operations for all Union State Bank branches, consisting of a staff which includes tellers, customer service representatives, as well as branch and market coordinators.

“I’m most excited about the opportunity in my new role to collaborate with teams across our organization, contribute to the development and alignment of policies and procedures, and help foster a positive, supportive work environment,” said Conrad.

Conrad will coordinate her time within each of USB’s markets, but her primary office will be in Winfield.

Dax Givens is the newest member of Union State Bank’s lending team, joining the bank on July 14th.

“I wanted to join Union State Bank when I realized I would receive great mentorship and knowledge from everyone here who has experience in this industry,” Givens said.

Givens recently graduated from Kansas State university as a finance major and started his career as a credit analyst before becoming a lender for USB.

“We are excited to introduce Dax to our customer base and for him to begin helping them to achieve their financial goals,” said Cory Helmer, Winfield/Udall Market President for Union State Bank.

Givens is a local resident of Cowley County, having been raised in Arkansas City.

“I have seen how involved this bank is in the community. I want to have a positive impact on customers and in the community. Being a local, that is something I value greatly and am excited to be part of,” Givens said.

Given’s office is located at USB’s Winfield Main branch, located at 823 Main in downtown Winfield.
