Union State Bank’s (USB) internal fundraising campaign in support of United Way, resulted in $18,482 pledged by employees for 2026. The annual campaign reflects the bank’s continued commitment to strengthening the communities it serves through both financial support and volunteer engagement.
United Way is a global nonprofit organization serving more than 1,100 communities worldwide, with a mission focused on advancing education, financial stability, and health. Contributions from Union State Bank employees will provide direct impact through several local United Way chapters, including Harvey County United Way (Newton), United Way of the Plains (Ark City, Udall, Wichita, and Winfield), Bartlesville Regional United Way (Bartlesville), and United Way of Central Oklahoma, Inc. (Edmond).
“Each year, our employees step up to support our local United Ways and their partner agencies because they believe in strengthening the communities we serve,” said Merresa Hanson, Union State Bank’s Director of Human Resources. “Their commitment to giving back reflects the heart of community banking, neighbors helping neighbors and investing in local well-being. We’re proud of their dedication and the difference they make.”
Union State Bank has maintained a long-standing partnership with United Way through ongoing donations and active volunteerism. For the 2026 campaign, 45 team members made financial pledges, while additional employees contributed by volunteering to support initiatives led by their local United Way chapters.
“Union State Bank has been a strong supporter of The United Way for many years,” said Bryan White, Market President for Newton, KS. “The last several years we have assisted approximately 15 organizations through United Way in the Newton/Harvey County area.”
In Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Union State Bank’s involvement extended beyond fundraising. Jeanna Breech, Market President for Bartlesville, led a team of employees who volunteered during a local United Way event aimed at supporting area nonprofits.
“United Way’s ‘Day of Caring’ is a time where community leaders get together to tackle much needed projects for area nonprofits. I chose the Hops for Hope set up event because it supports Ray of Hope Advocacy Center & Domestic Violence Services program,” said Breech. “Our volunteers did a great job. The event was very successful, and they had a great turnout to support Ray of Hope.”
Through generous employee contributions and hands-on service, Union State Bank continues to demonstrate its commitment to making a meaningful difference across the communities it serves.
